Carl Nelson is the Managing Principal of Infrastructure Ready, a location economics, site selection and commercial real estate development firm. He is a real estate development specialist and has orchestrated over $5 billion in industrial real estate transactions over the course of his 20-year career. Previously, Carl led the team responsible for deploying data center infrastructure across North America for a Fortune 500 hyperscale cloud internet provider.

Carl has built and led teams responsible for site selection, acquisition, design, municipal entitlements, financing, joint venture structuring and construction for over 30 million square feet of commercial office and industrial space for some of the largest industrial real estate occupiers in the world. Most recently Mr. Nelson built and led the team responsible for 12 million square feet of datacenter development and over 3 Gigawatts of datacenter power footprint.

A graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, Carl holds a Masters degree in Real Estate Development from Clemson University.
